Fantastic between the seas: A path only open to pedestrians and cyclists leads past the reeds, the water areas and silting areas of the Flügger Watts. Before the dike was built, the Flügger Watt was an open Baltic Sea bay and would be filled with Baltic Sea water during storms without the dike. Since this cannot happen naturally, a pumping station and a drainage wind turbine ensure that the water can flow away.
