A monument with a bust of Franz Daniel Pastorius can be found in front of the Pastorius House between Spitalgasse and Spitalwall. The Pastorius House was the brainchild of Paul Sukop from the USA. In 1983, he founded the "Pastorius Home Association," which aimed to create a learning, exchange, and overnight accommodation center for schoolchildren and students in Bad Windsheim. This dream was finally realized after an extensive renovation of the town's former prayer house.
After years as an overnight accommodation for younger generations, the Pastorius House is now a private guesthouse with a wide range of accommodation options.
