Verzasca River Pedestrian and Bicycle Bridge

Near the confluence with Lake Maggiore, the Verzasca River, the bridge connects the two banks of the municipalities of Tenero-Contra and Gordola.
The pedestrian and bicycle bridge between Bellinzona and Locarno enables a 120 meter long crossing of the natural course of the Verzasca river.
The idea of the projector arose from the observation and interpretation of the location. In this sense, the "Ponte dei balzi" bridge in Lavertezzo in the Verzasca Valley was the starting point for the development of the project, which made possible a reduction in material with a clear and special structural gesture, at the same time through the use of steel.
