The Prussian Minister of State Marquardt Ludwig von Printzen (1675-1725) was the owner of the village of Schorin for only two years, and yet it has since been named after his first name "Marquardt". In 1892, the Berlin iron manufacturer Louis Ravené jun. here squire. He had the current village church built by the architect Paul Stegmüller (1850-1891) in Neo-Gothic forms and adorned with iron art-cast reliefs from his own production. From the nave emerge as side extensions with delicate rib vaults a baptistery (south) and the crypt Ravenés.

A simple little church without the splendor and pride that you see in many others. Invites to pause and meditate. Afterwards, a walk through the Marquardt Castle Park fits in very well.
