Kerkrade Centrum station is a railway station in the Dutch municipality of Kerkrade. The station had two entrance buildings. The first building, on the Miljoenenlijn, stood from 1933 to 1940, but was never used by train passengers, as Dutch Railways ultimately did not have great expectations for passenger traffic on the line. After its demolition, the station was without a building for twenty years. In 1960 (passenger traffic was already taking place), a standard-type building was erected in Vierlingsbeek, which stood there until 1995.
Kerkrade Centrum station was part of the Miljoenenlijn, which ran from Landgraaf to Simpelveld. In 1988, the line between Kerkrade Centrum and Simpelveld was closed, making Kerkrade Centrum the last station on the line. Between 2004 and 2006, this did not apply to all trains: On weekends and public holidays, the Zuid-Limburgse Stoomtrein Maatschappij operated tourist steam trains between Heerlen and Simpelveld, but since December 2006, these have again terminated at Kerkrade Centrum. Since 2015, the ZLSM trains have returned to the ZLSM Kerkrade stop, located 150 meters from Kerkrade Centrum station.
