This is where the trail begins: an inconspicuous path, a small sign – and suddenly you're in the middle of a piece of East German history. The Preußensteig starts quietly but steeped in history. The first border markers aren't long in coming, the landscape opens up, and the feeling of "being on the move" quickly sets in.
