The mountain farm is the birthplace of Peter Rosegger and is now a museum. The building, which is several hundred years old, is a listed building. The birthplace on the Alpl brings Peter Rosegger's youth closer to those interested. It can be reached by a 30-minute walk from the car park "Aufgang birth house" (no access for cars and buses, shuttle service possible).

The Austrian folk poet Peter Rosegger was born on July 31, 1843 as the first of seven children in this simple mountain farmhouse. In 1868 the farm had to Sold due to excessive indebtedness, it changed hands several times over the years until it was finally acquired by the state of Styria in 1927.
In the 1970s and 1993, the completely dilapidated courtyard and outbuildings were demolished. T. Reconstructed based on sketches by Peter Rosegger.
The farm offers some interesting insight into the farming lifestyle in the mid-19th century.
