The complex of buildings at the church that has not survived is located on the site of the old churchyard of the village of Ilyinskoye. This churchyard belonged from the end of the 16th century to the nearby rich village of Teleshovo, which in 1571 was given by Ivan IV to his father-in-law V.S. Sobakin. In 1801-16, a new brick church of Elijah the Prophet was built at the expense of Prince A.F. Pozharsky, soon surrounded by a fence, of which the corner tower has survived. The sights of the cemetery itself include the Sobakin family chapel, erected in the early 19th century over the grave of the owner of the village, Sobakina, who was killed in the second half of the 18th century.
