The secret facility near the village of Kryachkovo appeared 80 years ago - in the summer of 1941. It was built for the heavy bombers of the 432nd Aviation Regiment of the newly formed 81st Long-Range Bomber Aviation Division. Until August 17, 1941, the division was commanded by the famous Soviet pilot, participant in the rescue of the crew of the steamship "Chelyuskin", participant in Arctic and high-latitude expeditions, Hero of the Soviet Union Mikhail Vodopyanov.
