For me, this gorge was not really a household name and went there without any great expectations. What can I say: WOW !!!

Probably the most beautiful section of the Schlichen hiking trail. If it rained a few days ago, it is recommended to wear sturdy and waterproof footwear.

.. we were there after heavy rains, so the water masses are unfortunately a bit murky, but a very beautiful, varied hike - children will love them 😊
From Epfendorf by the Schlichemklamm about 10 km / a little more than 2 hours on foot (good shoes is recommended, since it is quite slippery in some places)

Can pass smoothly as a small Wutachtal. Clean "brook" which flows through several turns through the valley.

Was slippery today! The water colored brown by the bad weather of the past days. Robust and waterproof footwear a MUST!

Naturally located valley with interesting stream. Especially after rain very impressive. Do not ignore the danger of falling rocks.

Really nice section of the Schlichenwanderwegs. The water was not so clear today - the storms of the previous days have colored the water brown.

Waterfall at the height of the Rammsteiner mill. The more water flows, the more impressive it is.

At the start it is difficult to find a parking space. We had to park at the edge of a country lane. We did not like the first part of the tour on paved roads. Later, however, the way was very varied. Especially the region around the Schlichemklamm. We had sun and shade, there were even benches at regular intervals. In sum, a worthwhile tour.

The Schlichen flows through a beautiful valley, which is also designated as a nature reserve - here too through rocky areas. Even if Klamm is sometimes written on site, it is by no means a gorge (narrow incision with vertical or overhanging rock walls), actually not even a real gorge (valley with slopes that are steep on both sides, but slightly sloping compared to the gorge) . So don't expect an experience like in many Bavarian Alpine gorges, but still a fascinating experience with smaller cascades and some rock faces or rocky slopes.

Especially recommended during the week. At the weekend and when the weather is nice, there is almost no parking space. There is wild parked along the paths and there is a migration of peoples into the short but very beautiful gorge. There it accumulates in the 2-3 particularly beautiful spots suitable for bathing (for children and dogs).

The entire gorge is very beautiful, when we were there the sneaky one unfortunately carried very little water.
