Kamnitz Castle: first mentioned in 1442 because it was besieged by the League of Six Towns, then destroyed in 1444, still inhabited until 1550, then fell into disrepair.
Prince Kinský donated it to the Bohemian Kamnitz Planting and Beautification Society in 1880, and they did their best to restore it: a restaurant, an observation tower, and a knights' hall were built in the castle. From 1945 onwards, it fell into disrepair again. From 1995 onwards, a foundation took over and made it accessible again, and in 1998, the new wooden tower was added.
Great view, beautiful basalt columns and rocks.
