The Franz Beydi Monument is located in Zwettl's city park. The monument was unveiled here on October 3, 1936, on the occasion of his 80th birthday. He was instrumental in all major projects created around the turn of the century, such as the water pipeline, the power plant, and the local railway.

Just four months later, on January 6, 1937, Franz Beydi died.

This memorial stone, unveiled by the Zwettl Men's Choir in the city park on October 3, 1936, to mark the 80th birthday of former mayor and Commercial Councilor Franz Beydi, honors Beydi's life's work. He was an honorary citizen of Zwettl and an "Imperial Councilor." Commercial Councilor Beydi was an enthusiastic musician; he was not only honorary choirmaster and honorary member of the Zwettl Men's Choir, but also an honorary member of the Vienna Men's Choir.
