The Edersee is located in the nature park Kellerwald-Edersee and is the 3 largest reservoir in Germany, 2Excursion boats sail the lake, several campsites are located around the lake, the construction period was 1908-1914, the villages Asel-Berich and Bringhausen were flooded, at low tide you can still see individual foundations.
