Pic de l'Ours

The Pic de l'Ours, like the entire Esterel massif, is a place for hiking. It is less than a kilometer from the Col Notre-Dame, crossing of the GR51 and GR653A.
Mountain bike routes exist but some trails may be prohibited for this activity. The paved road going up to the summit is accessible to road bikes.
A 56-meter high TDF relay is installed at its summit, for DTT coverage over eastern Var and western Alpes-Maritimes.

At an altitude of 488m and so close to the sea, the Pic de l'Ours offers an impressive view of the coastline of the Esterel massif. Formed by volcanic eruptions 250 million years ago, the red rock of the Esterel massif is recognizable among all.
