A stunning mountain with stunning views in the Alpine foothills. It starts off steeply uphill, making the hike recommended any time of year.
Due to deforestation, the ascent is now largely sunny during the summer months.
In winter, or after snowfall, the "Grödl" (gardens) are highly recommended.
If you continue along the meadow/pasture near the two summit crosses, you'll reach a second summit cross, making three in total.
And there are fantastic views of the Ötscher, Dürrenstein, and Hochschwab areas, Hochkar, Gamsstein, Gesäuse Mountains, and Alpl.
