This old washhouse was built at the end of the 19th century for the Park Hotel, one of the first hotels in Toscolano Maderno, and subsequently converted into apartments. Inside was a wooden kettle, above which the hotel's laundry was washed in boiling water with ash in a large copper tub. Between the hotel and the washhouse there was once a garden, which was expropriated in 1899 and had to make way for the construction of today's state road.
