Hiking Highlight

Arizona Beach Recreation Site is small and picturesque, stretching just over a half mile. The beach is framed by rocky headlands that act as natural barriers to the wind, creating a warmer environment that gives the beach its name. Mussel and Myrtle Creeks run through the park, forming wetlands and attracting elk and a variety of waterfowl. The Arizona Beach Lodge is no longer operational; however, the Prehistoric Gardens roadside attraction is also here, featuring 23 life-sized sculptures of dinosaurs set among the vegetation of the area's rainforest, making this an interesting spot to take some unforgettable photos.
