    Hiking

The Arizona Trail runs directly through Double Springs Campground, an official National Forest Service campground. It officially opens on May 1 of each year, during the season you have to pay a fee. Before that, hikers can use it, but the restrooms are still locked and the drinking water is still turned off. Benches and fire bowls can be used, however.
