Though the entirety of this hike is through an open meadow with spectacular views, this portion of the trail is particularly inviting. Plan to see a multitude of different wildlife (namely birds and wildflowers) while overlooking the largest natural lake in the state. During the right time of day, the reflection of Mormon Mountain engulfs the entirety of the lake, which can be viewed from the most northern viewpoint on the trail.
