We followed this beautiful route in early November 2019. The path leads from the street where the bus stops (Itobál) to the left over a private property with vegetables. There are now signs that the passage is prohibited.
Currently, access to Punta de Teno is closed to private cars on Thursdays through Sundays. A bus commutes regularly on these days between Buenavista Vista del Norte and Punta de Teno.
