The almost century-old chapel, built during the interwar period, is the mausoleum chapel of Grasilda and Jan Jurevičius. This is evidenced by the founder's memorial plaque with the date 1929, installed on the front wall. Its history is connected with the famous Tiškevičius family, which ruled Lentvaris. The chapel has been renovated, an altar has been installed, and it is used for religious ceremonies and armory purposes. It falls within the territory served by the Lentvaris Annunciation of the Holy Virgin Mary parish. The chapel is located in a part of the cemetery, overgrown with trees, next to the cemetery fence.
During the First World War, the local hospital in Lentvaris was overcrowded, there were many soldiers wounded and dying in battles. Therefore, it became necessary to establish a new cemetery. The land was donated by Countess Marija Kristina Tiškevičienė-Lyubomirska (1871-1958), the wife of the owner of the Lentvaris manor, Vladislovas Tiškevičius. In 1927, a drawing of the cemetery chapel was drawn up. It was built by lawyer Janas Jurevičius at his own expense. He and several family members are buried there. In 2013, the Lentvaris parish community decided to renovate the abandoned chapel. With the funds of investors, the doors were repaired, the interior walls were painted, and the roof was painted. In 2014, these works were carried out by UAB “Trakų paslaugos”. The parish priest purchased and dedicated a new bell to the chapel.
