The Waldhaus Pond, located between Rath and Rösrath-Kleineichen, at the Asado Restaurant, is traversed by the Kurtenwald Bach stream and has been largely left to its own devices in recent years. From an ecological perspective, this isn't a bad thing, as it has allowed native plant communities to develop, such as an iris and alder swamp.
