The old AVR site was bought in 2012 by Hennie van der Most.
He saw opportunities to turn it into an amusement park. The first years were needed with demolition work before being able to rebuild it. The municipality of Rotterdam is very enthusiastic about this idea, it enriches the city. Regarding the municipality: much praise for thinking along and cooperating in realizing the play city.

The aim is to open at the end of 2021. We expect 200,000 visitors per year. On an average day there are 500 and on peak days that can be 2000. We keep the entrance fee low and parking is free at the play city. There will also be several dining options.
The play city is realized for the whole family: children, young people, parents and grandfathers and grandmothers. A fun day out for everyone.
Rotterdam will soon have another unique attraction richer.
