Hiking
Stursbøl Plantation is a wooded area south of Jels – a relatively young mixed forest that has spread over a former heathland. Around the turn of the millennium, a severe storm knocked down many of the trees – some of which remain standing or lying there. In between, you'll occasionally find an overgrown burial mound or bizarre deadwood formations. All of this gives this forest a truly fairytale atmosphere.
