First documented mention in the Middle Ages. In the 1500s she owned her own property and some ministers of saints. The founding of the formation of the chapel is probably due to the fact that at that time there were a number of field estates in the area, the so-called "Justina fiefdom", which, however, soon "went down". In earlier times, there was a legend in the immediate vicinity even given a convent.
The fact is that from the very beginning there was a hermitage near the chapel, which was mostly inhabited by two hermits. In 1580 it was reported that Großaitinger citizens carried out an annual petition.
