This bridge running over the Pennsylvania Turnpike is situated at the midpoint of the Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail. The original pedestrian bridge was built in 1970 when the trail was established, but it was replaced with this bridge in 2012. 1.4 miles south of the bridge, there is a shelter area with lean-to shelters and vault toilets.
