At 749.5 meters, the Hochwald (Czech: Hvozd) is one of the highest mountains in the Lusatian/Zittau Mountains, located directly on the German-Czech border, about two and a half kilometers southwest of the spa town of Oybin and two kilometers east of Krompach. It has two peaks: the southern main peak, over which the border between Germany and the Czech Republic runs, and the 743.8-meter-high northern peak, located 370 meters away. 360-degree views to the east, south, and west from the restaurant and the tower.
