As early as the mid-17th century, a windmill belonging to the nearby Tolhuys mills stood on a belt at its current location. At the beginning of the 19th century, a wooden mill of the Obermühle type stood on the same site. On March 17, 1887, this mill burned down completely. A year later, the mill was rebuilt in brick. On July 18, 1930, the mill was again destroyed by fire. The interior was then restored for electric milling. Wind power was no longer possible from that point on.
