Gordon Dump Cemetery in Ovillers-la-Boisselle is a military cemetery established after the Battle of the Somme in 1916. The name "Gordon Dump" refers to a munitions dump located nearby. The cemetery contains the graves of 1,676 Commonwealth soldiers, 1,053 of whom are unidentified.

A notable anecdote is that the cemetery is the final resting place of Second Lieutenant Donald Simpson Bell, a former professional footballer who was awarded the Victoria Cross for his bravery in battle. Bell was killed in action on 10 July 1916, just days after his heroic action.

Gordon Dump British Military Cemetery, just outside La Boisselle, contains 1,676 graves (1,582 British, 2 Canadian, 91 Australian, and 1 Indian). More than 1,000 could not be identified.

Burials in this cemetery began from July to September 1916. At that time, it contained 95 graves, mainly of Australian soldiers, and was initially called Sausage Valley Cemetery (the cemetery for Sausage Valley, which was located south of the Albert-Bapaume road, as opposed to Mash Valley, which was to the north).

After the Armistice, bodies from isolated graves or found on the nearby former battlefield were brought to Gordon Dump. The vast majority of these men fell in July 1916.

It is in this necropolis that lies the grave of Donald Bell, in whose memory a monument was erected in Contalmaison ("Bell's redoubt").
