Today, Wat Pho is best known for the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, where you can find a statue 45 m long and 15 m high, which seems to be squeezed into the temple. The entire statue is covered in gold leaf and looks amazing when you get close to it. The feet are inlaid with precious stones with 108 significant symbols and actions that led the Buddha on the path to perfection. You can notice the long earlobes, which mean noble birth, and the lotus-shaped hands, which symbolize purity and beauty.
