The Bibart is a river of the third and second order in the southern Steigerwald forest in the Bavarian districts of Kitzingen and Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim. After a roughly 17 km long course, with water flowing year-round in its middle and lower reaches, it flows roughly southeastward, joining the left bank of the Scheine near the church village of Oberlaimbach in the small town of Scheinfeld to form the Laimbach.

The river was first documented in 816 as Bibaroth. The name is derived from Old High German *Bibar-ōdi and means "wilderness where beavers live."[4] While written records from the Middle Ages still refer to Bibert or Bibart, the name of the small river was later shortened to Biber until the early 19th century.
