Cattedown Road is a street in Plymouth, a city in the southwest of England. The street runs parallel to the River Plym and is part of the Cattedown district, which has a rich maritime history. Cattedown was once an important fishing, shipbuilding and trading port. It was also the site of a number of limestone caves, where Plymouth's oldest human remains were found. The panorama of Cattedown Road is very interesting, as it shows a contrast between the industrial past and the modern present of the city. You can admire the view of the river, the old and new bridges, the gasometers, the shipyards and the flats from the street or from a walking path or bike path along the river bank.

Plymouth Sound is a natural harbour and the UK's first National Marin Park. It is home to naval activity, fishing, a commercial port, diving and watersports.

Hooe is a village across the water which sits on the estuary of the River Plym.

There's a couple of benches to rest your feet whilst you admire the view.
