The Iron Age homestead is a reconstruction of a historic building complex dating back to 500 BC. It was discovered during excavation work a few hundred meters from its present location in the 1980s. With local material the buildings as well as field and garden plant were reconstructed with mostly artisanal methods of the iron age 2002. Other constructions, such as a place of worship is being planned. The homestead is mainly used for pre-Roman exploration, seminars and events, such as used the Iron Age handicraft market.
