The ascent to the Kölnbreinsperre is via the asphalted Malta Hochalmstrasse. This involves passing through six tunnels, two of which have traffic light control and indicate the waiting time. Tip: if the traffic light shows 2-3 minutes, be the first to cycle off. Numerous waterfalls can be seen along the route.
