Die absolut ebene Runde, teilweise unter Meeresspiegel, wurde 50% auf Asphalt/Strassenbelag und 50% auf losem Untergrund wie groben Schotter, feinen Kies, grasbewachsene Feldwege zurückgelegt.

Ziel war es entlang von Dämmen/Kanälen zu radeln und Wasserwerke von außen zu besichtigen.



Die Dammabschnitte

„Back to the Middle Ages“ was the theme today. The locations Cordovado and Sesta Rhegena, as well as other historically significant places, were suitable for this. The ground cover chosen was 50% loose ground, gravel, and farm tracks, as well as 50% asphalt and road surfaces. Main roads were only used

2/3 of the tour led through pure nature on loose ground such as gravel, scree, sand and grass as well as on short concrete and asphalt sections along the Isonzo, the Canale Quarantia and the Adriatic Sea. 1/3 of the route was taken up by driving through Monfalcone and surrounding towns on asphalt.

Today's theme was along the former "Iron Curtain", on and next to the dikes of the Morava river.

The route practically led north along the right bank of the Morava, at Angern the Morava was crossed by a ferry. Arriving in Slovakia, we went south and crossed back to Austria via the "Freedom Bridge".

Today, gravel riding on many different surfaces was the order of the day to and around Vienna Airport and the two runways.



90% of the route was cycled away from side and main roads. The ground conditions ranged from grass and sand on dirt roads, gravel sometimes fine, sometimes coarse, concrete from smooth

Thanks to the fantastic weather, I, like many others, started my cycling season a little earlier this year.



The purpose of this nostalgic ride was to explore and visit the former "Cormons-Redipuglia" railway line.

The autumn-themed tour, held at 17 degrees Celsius, was 60% on loose ground and 40% on pavement. The sections with loose ground were almost perfectly gravel sections, with occasional short grassy sections. The theme was "immersion in the Middle Ages" with an external tour of mills and villa complexes

In sunny weather, which grew increasingly warmer towards the late afternoon, today's ride was a true autumn treat. Three-quarters of the ride was on asphalt, and the other quarter was on loose surfaces, almost entirely avoiding main roads.

The tour had two goals:

1. To cycle through biotopes and along the canal system.

2. To cycle as close as possible along or on the railway line of the former Palmanova–San Giorgio di Nogaro railway and to look for railway relics. This line opened on August 26, 1888, and was single-track. In its final years
