The ascent to Cima Blockhaus, starting from Fara Filiorum Petri, is one of the longest and most challenging climbs in the Abruzzo Apennines. It winds for about 27 kilometers, overcoming 1700 meters of altitude difference. The route passes through the Passo Lanciano before tackling the final part, steeper and more exposed. A classic itinerary, protagonist of several stages of the Giro d'Italia.
