Railway Tunnel No. 24 of the Sierra Greenway Nature Trail. Located 3,440 meters from the previous tunnel, it is 250 meters long and has artificial lighting; however, a flashlight is recommended. This tunnel is excavated in the clayey slopes of Los Castellares, a limestone area where several hills meet.
Los Castellares are hills with a limestone plateau at the top, raised on a base of softer materials—in this case, Triassic clays and sandstones—giving them a fortress-like appearance.
