The ancient village of Zinovievo belonged to the Solennikovs at the end of the 18th century. In 1788, with the funds of the landowner and entrepreneur N.V. Solennikov, the construction of a stone church with a bell tower began, which was consecrated in 1794. From 1856 to 1896, the priest of the parish was A.V. Tsvetaev, the great-uncle of the poetess M. Tsvetaeva.
