From the Wulffsbrücke you have a beautiful view of the Gose Elbe, a branch of the Elbe that is now separated. As part of the EU-funded RECONECT project, the GoseElbe and the Dove Elbe are to be renatured on a large scale. Two goals are pursued: Flood protection is achieved by reclaiming the floodplains, while the natural waters can ensure sufficient irrigation of the surrounding agricultural areas in dry conditions.
