A barrier dug by humans to prevent possible escapes during the heyday of the colony's existence. Now you can enjoy the peace and quiet at this ring wall. The waterfronts are colored differently each season.Historical explanation: to prevent the increase in escape attempts, a ring moat of approximately 10 meters wide and almost 7 km long was dug from 1893 onwards. The mapped out walk 'The Escape Path' follows this ring moat / ring wall. The historic swimming pool is located on the eastern section. A beautiful walking path, but be aware that it can be quite busy here.
