Waregem sculptor Paul Destoop (1951 – 1991) created this monumental work of art as his final project at the Kortrijk Academy. The sculpture dominates the space and creates a new universe in the green city park. The artwork is accompanied by the inscription: every work of art leads its own existence: a tree is a tree, a sculpture is a sculpture.

The artwork first stood on the Plein in Kortrijk for five years before it was transferred to Baron Casier Park.
