The Prinses Margriet Canal flows from the IJsselmeer to the Frisian Stroobos, where it continues through Groningen under the name Van Starkenborgh Canal. Parts of the canal have retained their historic names, such as the Frisian Knillisdjip and Krûme Ie. The canal is busy, so get off your bike and admire the many boats and ships.
