... in Winnenden, in the Rems-Murr district, Baden-Württemberg.

    - After the great city fire in 1693, only three houses were spared from the fire.
    - The entire city center was rebuilt, and the "Market Street" between the gate tower and the "Old Town Hall" became the actual market square.
    - Due to the destruction in 1945, the market square "enlarged" near the market fountain.

    Market square with:
    - Old Town Hall (built 1693-1701)
    - Market fountain
    - Half-timbered houses

    The market fountain:
    - After a city fire, the market fountain was rebuilt in 1700 by the Memmingen fountain maker "Matthias Sprinzing."
    - Octagonal fountain trough.
    - The original Baroque ornaments on the sides (around 1720) were restored in 1979 by the Winnenden sculptor "Martin Kirstein."

    - Since 1929, a "Justitia" figure made of shell limestone by the Winnenden master stonemason "Wilhelm Seiz" stood on the pedestal. was a copy of the earlier sandstone "Justitia" figure.
    - Both "Justitia" figures (on the pedestal from the early 19th century until 2009) now stand in the entrance area of the "Winnenden City Archives."

    - Since 2012, a new bronze pedestal figure by the artist "Karl Ulrich Nuss" has adorned the fountain.
    - Nuss's sculpture depicts the "Winnender Lied" (Winnender Song) by the minstrel "Gottfried von Neuffen" and depicts the minstrel and the Winnenden girl in a tender embrace.

There are three other bronze figures at the fountain:
    - a seated girl on the fountain
    - a boy standing in front of the fountain
    - and a woman a little way off
    - Unfortunately, I don't know the artist of these beautiful figures (no sign found)
