The Karlstein is a memorial stone in the vineyards near Endersbach and Strümpfelbach (both districts of Weinstadt east of Stuttgart). There is a vantage point at about 430 m above sea level, which offers a wide view of the Remstal and as far as Stuttgart. There is a barbecue area with a children's playground right on the edge of the forest. The barbecue area was created in 1992 and renovated in 2006. The swing and seesaw, as well as two tables, were renewed in summer 2015.
