They are located north of the urban center of the town of Vilajuïga, on top of the two neighboring peaks of the Montperdut massif (located at 318.4 meters and 329.6 meters above sea level, respectively). They are accessed by the N-260 road, from where you take a turnoff located between kilometers 23 and 24.

These are two exceptionally large casemates, built with the intention of dominating the passage of the railway and the road, from the Empordà plain towards the Portbou border. Built to exercise great control over a very extensive sector of the region. The two fortifications have a more or less rectangular plan, with rounded ends built with concrete. The loopholes have a horizontal rectangular opening and are located around most of the perimeter of the bunker. Both casemates are built with reinforced concrete, using the formwork technique and are camouflaged with a lining of stones, extracted from the same geological terrain, and bound with cement.
