In the 19th century Wealdenkohle was extracted from several tunnels and shafts in the Bullerbachtal. Later, the promotion shifted to the monastery gallery Barsinghausen and the local shafts. The Bullerbach shaft was still used until 1930 as a ventilation shaft. The mining buildings were demolished.
