The distance stone is located at the "Gollensdorfer Postweg" junction on the L 1. It is a listed monument and is listed as cultural monuments in Arendsee (Altmark) under registration number 094 61196. Early Prussian milestones were quarter-mile cubes, half-mile obelisks, and whole-mile obelisks. From the 1820s onward, small bell-shaped stones were chosen for quarter-mile markers and large bell-shaped stones for half-mile markers, so that obelisks exclusively indicated whole miles.
