During the day, the square is a vibrant, oriental bustle. Stalls, fortune tellers, snake charmers, and much more transport visitors to another world. Barbary macaques are often placed on tourists' arms. A fee of €20 is sometimes charged for the obligatory photo. As night falls, the square transforms. Food stalls pop up everywhere, offering oriental "specialties." But beware, these dishes are not suitable for all stomachs.
