Closely associated with the castle is viticulture, as the wine culture at Rametz has a long tradition. Riesling, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon grow around the castle. The first South Tyrolean Pinot Noir vine was planted here in 1860.
This little paradise also houses a museum: The Viticulture Museum on the ground floor and in the cellars, established in 1980.
