Could be a problem for very short legs without securing. In the winter definitely not for the untrained

Classic heavy staircases that do NOT have a standard on the via ferrata hedge. To make it clear here for alpine or climbing technically inexperienced: do not commit these stairs better and dodge on Holy stairs. For experienced but very clear recommendation - almost a must have.

Somewhat tricky entry. Uniquely beautiful staircases in the Elbsandsteingebirge.

Do not go with too much backpack, otherwise you will quickly get stuck in the cave. The best way to reach up through the cave ... that's how it works ...

Is considered the most difficult stairs, personally I find the Häntzschelstiege due to the length demanding. The Rübezahlstiege is less committed, the first meters must be climbed freely. Take only small rucksacks, otherwise you will not get through the hole at the top.

the Rübezahlstiege I was still missing ;-), it was a great experience. The lower part without securing was the hardest for me, then pure enjoyment via ferrata. Through the hole I had to push my backpack.

This is a really difficult climb to climb only from the bottom up.

Even in winter, a hike is always super nice here.

My hardest tour unfortunately partly wrong direction (Rübezahlstieg). Not a good idea but done

    Climbing fun for experienced Stiegengänger.
Not possible with small children or dogs.

My recommendation from the bottom up climb. In the attempt to climb from top to bottom I broke off in half due to a strange feeling in the stomach: D

The heaviest staircase in Saxon Switzerland.
    A pleasure on your tour.
Difficulty: Level 4, requires a head for heights and climbing technique.
